When installing Sprite in a Storage Card you will also need to enable the "Leave a Copy of Sprite Backup on Storage Card" options on General Backup Options. By enabling this feature you will be able to use Sprite Backup from a Storage Card after a hard reset. If you don't select this option you will successfully install Sprite Backup on the Storage Card but you won't be able to use the application after a hard reset because Sprite Backup will not have all required files.
If you only want to install Sprite Backup on the Storage Card with the intention of saving storage space you don't have to use this option. If you think that you will ever need to run Sprite Backup directly from the card to recover from a hard reset you must have the "Leave a copy of Sprite Backup on Storage Card" option enabled.
