1) Download Sprite Backup 5.1
Download Sprite Backup 5.1 to your computer by validating your 5.0 activation code using the form above.
2) Uninstall Sprite Backup from your PC
Select Start -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs and uninstall Sprite Backup from your computer.
3) Uninstall Sprite Backup from your Pocket PC
Using the Add/Remove Programs application on your Pocket PC, select and uninstall Sprite Backup.
4) Connect your Pocket PC to your PC
Once Sprite Backup has been uninstalled from both the PC and the Pocket PC, connect your device to your computer.
5) Install Sprite Backup 5.1 on your PC
Install Sprite Backup onto your computer by running the executable you downloaded in step (1).
6) Sprite Backup 5.1 is automatically installed on your Pocket PC through ActiveSync
Should the installation fail to start automatically, you can go into the Tools menu in ActiveSync, select Add/Remove Progams and initiate the install manually.
NOTE: Once the installation is completed, make sure to press "Finish" on the Pocket PC before proceeding.
NOTE: Should the installation fail, the most likely cause is an unsuccessful uninstall of Sprite Backup 5.0 which you performed in step (2). Please see this Trouble uninstalling Sprite Backup 5.0 for information on how to manually remove Sprite Backup from your Pocket PC before retrying the installation.
7) Proceed with your first backup
After Sprite Backup 5.1 is successfully installed, the wizard on your PC will automatically prompt you to start the backup process.
